My Top Tips for Christmas

There is a chill in the air, the log fire is burning and I am pulling out my chunky winter jumpers. This can only mean one thing. Christmas!!!!
Christmas is one of my favourite times of year, I love snow, warm clothes, the tree, and spending time with friends and family. We still have a few weeks till then though so here are my top tips Christmas.

1. This is the most important, Write a list.

Writing a list of all the things you need to accomplish before Christmas is a great way to stay on track as things get hectic. I write one every year and stick it next to my bed. Every night I tick off what I have done. Its very satisfying to see things get ticked off.

2. Start Saving

Christmas can get expensive and its very nice to get people lovely presents but it's not quite so nice looking at your huge bank statement. In the months leading up to Christmas I put a small percentage of my income away in a safe place and when Christmas shopping comes around I will have a nice little stash that wont make a dent in my wallet!!!

3. Sign up to Discount Sites

There is nothing nicer than to give someone a luxury expensive item but its fantastic to get it for a massive discount. Sign up to discount websites such as, Hautelook, Brand Alley, Secret Sales and Showroomprive   these websites have luxury designer items at discounts from 50% up to 85%. I have got many great bargains from these sites.

4. Save your Mail Boxes
This sounds really weird but whenever anything comes in a box or padded envelope I keep them so when Christmas comes they are perfect for wrapping up delicate items or even better for disguising items. If you put a nail polish in a box nobody would guess what they were getting.

5. DIY

At Christmas I love going to craft shops and picking up bits and pieces to create my own unique decorations. This is a great way to get in the festive spirit and transform your home into a Christmas Wonderland.

That's about it, As I say christmas is so fun and its not worth stressing out about. Relax and plan ahead so you have plenty of time for everything.

The Best Skincare Line Ever!!!

For many of my early teenage years I accepted that acne and oily was something you had and had to be put up with. After watching youtube videos for a while I discovered loads about skincare and how to properly care for young problematic skin.
I then found Liz Earle, My saving grace.

With total honesty I can say this is the best skincare line ever. It's slightly expensive but for the results its definitely worth it. There is three simple steps like the clinique 3 step system.

#1. Cleanse, Cleanse and Polish £13.75

Gently massage into your face and then rinse the muslin cloth in hot water and gently rub off your face with a polishing motion. It leaves your skin feeling so clean and soft.

#2, Tone, Skin tonic £12.25
You can either purchase this in a bottle like this or in a spray bottle which is what I have and prefer. Use this after cleansing to give your face a fresh feeling or use it throughout the day to give your skin an instant boost.

#3, Moisturise Skin repair moisturiser £18.25

This moisturiser comes in three types, dry, normal and oily. I have oily and its perfect it takes care of mattifying your face without drying it out. This is the most priciest out of the three steps but you literally need a tiny amount as a little goes a long way.

If you use this range twice a day believe me you will notice a fantastic change in your skin.
My skin has gone from oily and full of blemishes to clear and fresh.

Doubly Naked

After Urban Decays launch of the NAKED palette shops couldn't keep them in stock. They were literally flying off the shelves. However, I got mine on a super good deal with House of Fraser. So I picked up the palette originally priced for £36 for £28. Total steal

Second palette is the Naked palette from Too Faced. I got this for my birthday but it retails for £25.

Urban decay Naked comes with 12 shades and a few are exclusive to this palette.
Too Faced Naked comes with nine shades.

The Urban decay palette has a mixture between matte eyeshadows, satin eyeshadows and glitter eyeshadows. My favourite formulation is satin.

Top to bottom, Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal
Most of the colours are fantastic there are a few slightly disappointing for me. I'm not a big fan of buck and I find darkhorse makes me look like i've been punched in the eye.
However, the stars of the show are virgin, half baked and toasted. I love all these colours and wear them nearly every day.

The Urban Decay palette also comes with an eyeshadow brush and a mini size original primer potion. I think if you live in the states you get a double ended eyeliner instead of the brush.

The Too Faced palette focuses on creating 3 looks.
Day, Classic & Fashion my favourite being fashion.

Most of these colours are very subtle and not as pigmented as I would like however being called Naked you can't complain. However one shade that doesn't show up is Like a virgin. As you can see on the swatches its rubbish!!

The matte black pictured above is called stiletto and is fantastic. It's so dark I wet my brush and use it for eyeliner.

Left to right, In the Buff, Pillow talk, Like a virgin, Birthday suit, Satin sheets, Unmentionables, Pink cheeks, Lap dance, Stiletto

As you can see the palette also contains three tutorial cards. This is great for beginners.
This palette also comes with a double ended applicator which is surprisingly good and handy.

To finish, I love both these palettes for different reasons but if I could only pick one it would be Urban Decay purely because you get 3 extra shadows for a small price difference and you get a few extras (primer & brush) and they eyeshadows are alot more pigmented.

I hope this has helped if you're looking for a neutral palette,

Out of this world

Hi everyone, today is my first nail polish review.
Revlon: Galaxy
(sorry the picture is the wrong way around)

It is the most beautiful blue jelly nail polish with a ton of silver holographic glitter and black, grey blue shimmer.

Take a nice colour like silver from Revlon. A creamy silver grey. Pretty but not very interesting.

Apply one coat of galaxy and Vwala you have a beautiful glamorous nail that takes minutes to achieve.

It's so gorgeous and they grey tone underneath works perfectly with the shimmer. This would also work really well over a pale blue or navy. Play around and find what works for you.
This nail polish costs around £6 but you can usually find them on offer.

My purrrrfect Perfume

Todays post is about my current favourite perfume.
Purr by Katy Perry EDP

The scent is very fruity and sweet. It has notes of Jasmine, vanilla orchid, creamy sandalwood, white amber and a hint of lavender. This makes a beautiful light scent that is perfect for any occasion. It lasts a really long time on the skin as well.

This is my bottle. I own 50ml which cost £29.99 from superdrug. However you can purchase 100mls from cheap smells with free shipping for the same price. If you want this perfume definitely check it out. Click this link to purchase it.
