ELF Glossy Gloss

Hi everyone,

Today I am talking about some of the new Glossy Gloss's from the ELF studio line. These are an opaque, high sheen lip gloss with no shimmer or glitter. There are 10 beautiful shades to choose from and cost £3.75 each. You can purchase them here.

The two shades I picked up were Dragonfruit (top) and Sweet Salmon (bottom)
Dragonfruit is a bright raspberry shade that is perfect alternative to a fuscia lip colour.
Sweet salmon is a pinky peach nude that is a great every day colour.
Both of these lipglosses are very opaque and you wouldn't need to wear a lipstick underneath.

Dragonfruit (top) Sweet Salmon (bottom)

Another thing I like about these glosses are the applicator, the brush tip makes application really easy as you can make a really clean edge. The consistency is very thick but not gloopy or sticky so they are incredibly long wearing.

I am really happy with the two shades I have but next time I place an order I may have to slip pink candy and wild watermelon into my basket!!!

REVIEW: Garnier Oil Free BB cream

Hi everyone,
Today I am reviewing the new BB cream from Garnier which is the oil free version. This is the same price as the original, costing £9.99. However you get 1/5 less product with only 40ml compared to the previous 50ml. If you don't know what a BB cream is basically it is a multi-purpose product, a primer, foundation and SPF in one. This BB cream is very lightweight and gives a light coverage with a dewy finish.

It comes in two shades, light and medium. I wear light which is slightly too dark however when it is blended out I can get away with it.

I would recommend this product to anyone who has oily skin because it does leave a smooth matte finish and I don't have to apply powder throughout the day. As we are FINALLY getting some decent weather in England this would be the perfect product to use to get a healthy complexion.

MAC Saint Germain

Hi Everyone,

Today I am talking about one of my favourite bright lipsticks, Saint Germain from MAC. It is an amplified cream formula which means it is super duper creamy, very opaque and long wearing. It is a very very very bright lilac toned pink. If you don't want to stand out, don't wear this lipstick because you will attract alot of attention as it is incredibly bright. I save this lipstick for special occasions or times when I need my makeup to look a bit more put together.

This lipstick will last for about 3-4 hours and then it will fade into more of a wearable pale dolly pink which still looks very pretty. I would recommend this lipstick to anyone who is looking for a more daring shade that will add some colour to your makeup collection and brighten up your lips!

Body Shop Cucumber Water

Hi everyone,
I'm back with a review for you today. YAY!!!
Anyway, I'm going to be writing about the Cucumber Freshening Water from the Body Shop. I bought this thinking it would be a spritz bottle that you could use to refresh your face. However, it is actually a toner that you use after cleansing and before moisturising. I was slightly disappointed as they call it a freshening water. I have been using it every morning for the past week (I use Liz Earl toner in the evening) and I really like it. It is very gentle with a light cucumber scent. My skin feels very fresh and clean.
I am thinking about buying a spritz pump and changing it with the current lid as I think it would make a good skin refresher like the evian facial spray.

Overall, I really like it and it is very cheap costing only £4 for 250ml so this will last ages.
If you are in the Body Shop I would definitely stop to check it out.

ESSIE: Mint Candy Apple

Hi everyone, sorry the posts have been a bit thin on the ground, I have been really busy the past two weeks since my birthday with exams and assignment deadlines. It's been crazy to say the least!!
Anyway, I'm back with one of my favourite type of posts, nail polish!!
I recently had a splurge on nail polish and have been working my way through them. Today I tried out mint candy apple by Essie. It is called mint but I would call it a pale duck egg blue. It took 3 coats to achieve the finish in the picture but if you were in a rush then two would be fine. I really love the colour as it is fresh and summery.
I really recommend this colour and you can purchase it here for £7.99.

Watermelon Nails!

Hi Everyone,
I was feeling slightly creative today while painting my nails so I decided to attempt a watermelon design. It was really simple to do and I think it looks quite effective!

All you need is a bright pink polish, a pale lemon colour, a mint green and a black!

First give give all your nails two coats of pink
Then do a thick french tip with the yellow
Then do a thin tip with the mint green
Use a cocktail stick and black nail polish to create the spots

That's it! Simples!!
